We are using a Google Maps plugin to insert a map location for every business listing. The Google Maps are awesome! You can zoom in our out, you can also change map views to see actual pictures of the area. The only draw back is that at this time, the maps don’t always position themselves correctly. In fact, sometimes they are wildly off. This is easy to fix if I know exactly the true location of the business. I am a local. I feel like I know South Padre Island like the back of my hand but when it comes right down to it, I don’t always remember the exact location of even places I’ve been to many times.
For family reasons, I am away from the island right now and I can’t go out and check out the map locations I’m not sure about so if you see a map that is off, please let me know and I will fix it promptly. Please leave a message in the comments below with the business name and location. For example, let me know that Tom and Jerry’s is on the corner of Padre Blvd and Campeche, beach side (or is it on the corner of Acapolco and Padre Blvd? ) and I’ll be happy to fix it.
