Life's A Beach

Rating 3.00 out of 5

It’s good to be home.

I can’t measure how much I’ve missed the island while I was away.   I won’t even try to remember how many times I’ve wished I could go for a walk on the beach or watch the sunset on the bay,  margarita in hand,  or maybe, spend an afternoon at Isla Blanca Park talking to birds and taking pictures of people.

I haven’t had much time to explore but I can’t wait to get out there and see what’s changed and what’s still the same.   As for me, a lot has changed.  I’m a much wiser (code for older) person.  I’ve learned that if you can hang in there long enough, children grow up and go away to college.  And if you never, ever give up…  and change your phone number, bill collectors never stop calling.

So now that I’ve found my way home again I’m going to go out there and explore and play and learn and as best I can, try to eat and drink my way from one end of the island to the other, starting at Dirty Als.
